Etihad inks sponsorship deal with Girona FC
Etihad Airways will become the main sponsor of Spanish La Liga team Girona FC from next season.
This strategic alliance has been established for a period of three years.
Etihad has grown its Spanish flight capacity by nearly 50% since last summer.
The airline now operates 10 weekly flights to both Madrid and Barcelona.
Also, the airline is introducing seasonal flights, operating three times a week to Málaga starting next week.
“We are thrilled to partner with Girona FC. This sponsorship is a testament to our aim to strengthen the bonds between the UAE and Spain,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer.
“Etihad Airways looks forward to a successful partnership with Girona.”
As main sponsor, Etihad Airways will feature prominently on Girona FC’s team kits from the coming season and in the club’s home stadium.
The partnership will also offer promotions and special events for Girona FC fans.
