Etihad names new European boss

UAE carrier Etihad Airways has named Daniel Barranger as regional general manager for Europe.
 
He joins the Abu Dhabi-based carrier after working with Jet Airways and Gulf Air. Barranger also previously worked with the Forte and InterContinental Hotel Groups.
 
Barranger said: “Europe is a key growth area for Etihad and I look forward to the exciting challenges that building the Etihad brand and services will bring in a mature market such as this.”
 
Geert Boven, executive vice president, sales and services, said: “Daniel’s extensive experience in the airline sector will be invaluable to Etihad as we look to further establish and develop our service offering within Europe.”
