Etihad unveils new aircraft interiors
Etihad Airways plans to roll out the A380 on all three of its daily flights from Heathrow by the end of 2015.
The carrier unveiled the first of its A380s yesterday in Abu Dhabi, along with the first of its Boeing 787s.
Both aircraft will continue test operations before starting commercial flights.
The A380 will operate daily to London Heathrow from December 27 and the 787 to Dusseldorf from February 1 2015.
The A380 has Etihad’s new cabin interiors, including the ‘ultra-luxurious’ Residence by Etihad, a three-room suite with a living room, separate ensuite shower room, bedroom, and a dedicated butler.
Measuring 125 square feet, The Residence by Etihad is located at the front of the upper deck of the A380 and is for single or double occupancy.
Etihad Airways will take delivery of four A380s and three Boeing 787-9s in 2015.
Meanwhile, the airline has unveiled a new uniform for its crew, designed by Italian couturier Ettore Bilotta.
