Europcar says Yes to snowfields

Europcar is leading the way in allowing rental cars to be driven to Australia’s snowfields.

Europcar’s National Marketing Manager, Gareth Owen said car rental for snowfields had been restrictive in the past because rental cars were not covered for damages above the snow line.

Europcar’s new Snow Protection Package (SPP) will make snow season car rental a realistic proposition because it reduces a renter’s damage liability.

“This new snow product will allow renters to travel with peace of mind knowing they are covered,” he said.

Having a car at the resort also allows renters to explore the local regions on the way or from these areas, he said.

The package applies to rentals from Albury and Cooma (Snowy Mountains) airports as well as other Europcar key city, airport and suburban locations in New South Wales and Victoria.

Europcar snowfields rental example: $91 per day (based on a 7-days rental) includes medium size car (suitable for 4 people, appropriate boot space), unlimited kms and SPP.

For snowfields rentals of 5 days or more which involve travel through Cooma (NSW) or Myrtleford (Victoria), renters are eligible for free chains from Europcar Snowy Mountains Airport or Rays Ski Hire in Myrtleford.
