Europe blooms for Trafalgar
SYDNEY – Trafalgar says it is seeing strong early booking numbers for its Europe & Britain: Autumn, Winter & Spring programme, which was released at the beginning of June.
Paul McGrath, managing director, Trafalgar said, “In spite of the global economic climate we have seen a positive start to the 2009/10 booking period with sales on par with last year.
“The early response to our programme shows consumers have recognised the amazing value for money autumn, winter and spring travel presents with prices up to 25 percent less than peak summer travel, and escorted touring up to 40 percent less than doing a comparable itinerary independently.
“Numbers to key destinations such as Italy, France, Spain and Britain continue the positive trend, with bookings on various itineraries 15 to 40 percent higher than the same period last year,â€McGrath added.
