Eurostar signs Mondial insurance deal

Sunday, 31 Aug, 2007 0

Mondial has clinched a two-year contract with Eurostar to administer single trip travel insurance policies.

The Eurostar cover includes no maximum age limit, meaning that older travellers will gain access to cover without having to pay extra. A family and single parent family rate covers children free of charge. The deal also includes optional business and winter sports cover.

The agreement is pan-European, encompassing Eurostar travellers in the UK, France and Belgium.

It comes as Eurostar prepares to switch London services from Waterloo to the newly revamped St Pancras Station this autumn.

Eurostar e-commerce operations manager for Eurostar Luke Kingsnorth said: “We needed to cater to the different needs of Eurostar passengers, from business travellers, to families and skiers needing winter sports cover. Through this partnership with Mondial and the insurer we can offer our customers highly competitive rates, as well as inclusive policies for older travellers and families.”
