Eurostar welcomes Renaissance St Pancras
The development of a Renaissance hotel at St Pancras Station in London has been welcomed by Eurostar.
The high-speed Channel Tunnel passenger rail service moves its departure point from Waterloo to the north London station in autumn 2007.
The five-star St Pancras Renaissance Hotel is due to open two years later in 2009 after extensive renovation.
Eurostar will offer improved journey times of 2hrs 15 mins to Paris and 1hr 51mins to Brussels from the restored Victorian station – a reduction of at least 20 minutes on current timings.
