Eurowings to launch new winter flights from Manchester
Low-cost airline Eurowings has announced it will launch a new route from Manchester to Salzburg this winter.
The German carrier’s twice-weekly service to the Austrian city, which is a gateway to the Alps, will start on December 4.
Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays and fares will include free ski equipment carriage.
Manchester airport commercial director Stephen Turner said: "We have seen this year that the ski market continues to grow and we’re confident this new route to Salzburg will prove hugely popular with our passengers looking to take advantage of the great ski resorts in the Alps."
The service will operate until March 23 on an A320 aircraft. Eurowings currently flies to Cologne, Dusseldorf and Hamburg from Manchester all year round.
