Event: ‘Live long and prosper’

The 2002 ABTECH conference, ‘Live long and prosper’ (Thursday, 23rd May), will review the experiences of established travel companies and the extent to which they are modifying their business models in the Internet age.

The conference will be chaired by co-chaired by Graham Barnes, Chairman, ABTECH, and Justin Morshead, VP Business Development, Datalex.

Well established travel companies and suppliers will be reviewing what they have learned from the dawn of the Internet era and how they may position their future businesses. In particular, established travel solutions providers will give their perspectives on how travel agencies are building on-line services and using IT to competitive advantage.

Speakers include Roberto da Re, Dolphin Dynamics; Alan Warburton, Pharos Datacom; Mike Goddard, Wayfarers Travel; Neil Wilson, Global Head of Sales & Business Development, Datalex plc; Neil Hardy, Commercial Manager, Page & Moy; John-Paul Sanders, Head of New Sales Channel Development, Thomas Cook; Gary Hance, Chief Operating Officer, Seaforths Travel; and Stephen McKenna, e-Procurement Director, Atlas Travel Group.
