Ex-GetThere boss joins Carlson Wagonlit Travel

Floyd Widener, previously responsible for Sabre’s GetThere online corporate booking system, has joined Carlson Wagonlit Travel.

He takes up the position of sales vice-president EMEA, responsible for developing global sales in the region for the travel management company.

Widener joined Sabre from Amadeus in 1998 and was vice-president corporate EMEA.

Based in Paris for CWT, he will report EMEA chief operating officer Richard Lovell, who said: “Floyd brings to CWT considerable knowledge of the industry and the marketplace, a strong background in technology and significant experience with the corporate client base.”
