A management reshuffle at technology firm Traveltek has promoted Peter Whittle to head of the sales team and prompted the departure of sales director Frank Docherty.
Whittle is currently business development manager but Traveltek managing director Kenny Picken said Whittle’s constant outperforming of targets and experience meant he was destined for the top job.
The shake-up also sees head of global accounts Chris Oakes leading the major accounts team.
Said Picken: “Traveltek is heading for another record year in growth and profitability in what we know are some of the toughest trading conditions we have seen for decades.
“This can only happen if you have a team of dedicated professionals all working hard together to ensure the company goes from strength to strength.
"Unfortunately some aspects of the business were underperforming where others were outperforming and as you would expect from any business changes had to be made to address the balance."
