Expedia dumps captive dolphin, whale experiences
Online travel giant Expedia is ditching parks and attractions with performances of captive dolphins and whales. It will no longer sell tickets that include ‘interactions or performances’ but will sell tickets to ‘seaside sanctuaries that provide captive animals with a permanent seaside living environment.’
It will impact parks like SeaWorld in San Diego and Orlando. Expedia said it will have all the relevant attractions and attractions removed from its sites by early 2022.
