Expedia expands B2B distribution for hotels
Expedia Group has expanded its optimized distribution program for hotel partners.
It now allows medium to large-size lodging partners to manage wholesale inventory and have more control of their B2B rates, availability and content.
Partners are able to load a large volume of rates to Expedia Group’s platform to improve efficiency.
"We are constantly hearing that the lack of control and ineffective yield management with B2B distribution is a major pain point for partners, and we knew our ability to solve complex technology issues can, and has, effectively addressed this market need," said Christian Gerron, SVP of Enterprise Solutions, Expedia Partner Solutions.
Hotels get access to more than 100,000 travel agents and over 1,000 API partners, effectively putting them within reach of millions of travelers.
The program was tested last year with Marriott with the launch of a single gateway for Marriott’s wholesale inventory redistribution.
Marriot says it helped increase reach to the B2B leisure market while making hotels’ distribution and revenue management more efficient.
