Expedia today signed a deal with British Airways to provide its hotel booking solution.

As a result of the partnership, more than 40,000 hotel properties are now available on British Airways’ sites in the UK, France, Germany and the US.

Commenting on the deal, Simon Parks-smith Head of eBA said: “We are pleased to be able to offer this to our customers as it has already proven to be popular among travellers through a product which could be easily integrated into our newly designed website.”

Henrik Kjellberg, Director of Lodging Demand, Expedia Europe, said: “British Airways customers can now enjoy one-stop travel shopping and have access to the most competitive rates in hotel accommodation with discounts of up to 70% through WWTE’s inventory.

“Our partnership with British Airways, together with Expedia’s recent French joint venture and sites in the Netherlands and Italy, allows us to open up new distribution opportunities and add a strong European dimension to our leadership position in Internet lodging.”
