Expedia unveils new corporate name
Expedia has changed its corporate name to Expedia Group to ‘better reflect its identity as a leading global technology company’.
It said the change ‘acknowledges the unique contribution of each individual Expedia Group brand and business to the success of the overall organisation’.
Mark Okerstrom, president and CEO, said the new name more clearly articulates ‘who we have become and who we aspire to be’.
Expedia Group brands include Hotels.com, Egencia, trivago, HomeAway, Orbitz, Travelocity, Wotif, ebookers, CarRentals.com and and Traveldoo.
Its stock will continue to trade on Nasdaq under the EXPE ticker symbol.
