Explore Holidays boosts ‘Visit Malaysia Year’ 2007

Explore Holidays has given next year’s ‘Visit Malaysia Year’ campaign a head start with the release of three new experience programs showcasing Penang, Langkawi and Sabah -plus a three-day soft adventure option in Sarawak’s Mulu National Park.

The four packages form a feature of the new release ‘Explore Malaysia & Singapore 2007’ brochure which also offers the opportunity to combine Malaysian Borneo with the Sultanate of Brunei.

Prices for the three-day/two-night ‘Mulu Explorer’ program start from $542* per person twin share.

Tour highlights include a three-kilometre walk into Mulu National Park to visit the region’s famous Deer and Wind Caves and also the huge Clearwater cave system, venue for the daily late afternoon spectacle of millions of resident bats heading out for dinner.

The ‘Mulu Explorer’ includes two nights accommodation at the Royal Mulu Resort with daily breakfast, two lunches, two dinners and return economy airfares between Kota Kinabalu and Mulu.

The ‘Mulu Explorer’ can be easily combined with an eight-day/seven-night ‘Sensational Sabah’ program features of which include a visit to Kota Kinabalu’s famous Sepilok Orang Utan Centre, a Sandakan City tour and a sunset dinner cruise.

Priced from $693* per person twin share, the ‘Sensational Sabah’ program comes complete with seven-nights accommodation and return airport-hotel transfers.

The ‘Penang – an island paradise’ package offers particularly good value, prices for the seven-day/six-night program starting from $352* per person twin share.

This includes accommodation with daily breakfast, a Penang city tour and a sunset tour with dinner plus return airport-hotel transfers.

Again underlining the excellent value of travel to Malaysia in 2007, prices for an eight-day/seven-night ‘Lazy days in Langkawi’ program start from just $493* per person twin share.

This is inclusive of accommodation, daily breakfast, a half-day Langkawi tour, a sunset cruise with dinner and return airport-hotel transfers.

‘Explore Malaysia & Singapore 2007’ also offers the opportunity to combine Kota Kinabalu with a visit to the Sultanate of Brunei as part of a nine-day/eight-night ‘Borneo & Brunei’ package.

Priced from $1193* per person twin share, features include the Sepilok Orang Utan Centre and a Sandakan City tour in Kota Kinabalu.

The Brunei section offers a half-day ‘Water Village’ tour, designed to offer a good insight into the country that exists beyond the capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan.

Accommodation for the’ Borneo & Brunei’ package, which includes breakfast, is Kota Kinabalu’s luxurious Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Brunei’s The Empire Hotel & Country Club.

The brochure’s Singapore content too has been expanded with the inclusion of a new ‘Night out in Chinatown’ tour which provides the opportunity to explore the island nation’s rich Chinese heritage.

Tour features include dinner, a visit to the Chinatown Heritage Centre, a trishaw ride and a bumboat ride on the Singapore River.  Price per person is $67* per adult.
