Explore Holidays puts the boot into Italy
Explore Holidays has broadened its overall range of Italy product for 2008 introducing new coach and rail tours, special interest programs, self-drive options and cruise itineraries with the release of its ‘France & Italy 2008’ brochure.
The comprehensive range of new coach tours highlight both the country’s northern and southern regions as well as Sicily where four new programs have been added.
A 12-day/11-night ‘Southern Discovery’ coach tour links Rome with Sicily via Pompeii, the island of Capri, the Amalfi Coast and Naples.
The Sicilian section includes Palermo, Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, Siracusa and Mount Etna.
This tour is priced from $3080* per person twin share, inclusive of accommodation, meals as per itinerary, transportation and sightseeing.
Overall accommodation in Rome has been expanded as has sightseeing choice with the introduction of several new day tours including an ‘Angels & Demons’ tour based on elements of the Dan Brown book.
Explore Holidays has also introduced two new eight-day cycling tours – the ‘Tuscan Cycle Path’ and a ‘Lake Garda to Milan’ itinerary.
Both include accommodation, bicycle rental, meals as per itinerary and a luggage transportation service.
Mediterranean cruise product includes three new seven-night itineraries with MSC Cruises and Royal Caribbean.
MSC Cruises options ex-Venice and Genoa offer a choice of Italy with Greece & Croatia, or an Italy, Tunisia, Balearic Islands, Barcelona and Marseille itinerary.
Royal Caribbean programs combine Croatia, Turkey and Greece ex-Venice and a Greece, Cyprus, Egypt and Italy itinerary ex-Civitavecchia.
The new ‘France & Italy 2008’ brochure also includes a five-day/four-night ‘Lemoncello Tour’ incorporating first-class train transportation from Rome to Naples, a visit to Sorrento, a private tour of Pompeii and a two-night stay on the Amalfi Coast.
