ExpressJet pilots in demand with rival airlines
ExpressJet pilots have been offered a lifeline days after being informed their jobs are about to disappear.
Atlanta-based ExpressJet filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last week with its commercial airline business Aha Air ceasing operations.
Amid an acute shortage of regional pilots, Envoy Airlines would offer pilots ‘conditional job offers with no interview.’
Envoy Air operates regional routes for American Airlines.
Piedmont Airlines has also encouraged ExpressJet pilots to work for them
It shows the intense competition for pilots as airlines struggle to meet post-pandemic demand.
