FAA investigating another aircraft near miss
Another aircraft near miss occurred this week at Boston Logan International Airport.
A JetBlue plane touching down was forced to take evasive action as a Learjet plane attempted to take off without clearance.
The JetBlue pilot abruptly pulled out of the descent as the smaller plane ‘crossed the intersection’ the FAA said.
The FAA said air traffic control ordered the Learjet to wait off the runway while the JetBlue plane landed.
The Learjet ‘began a takeoff roll instead’ the FAA said.
The JetBlue pilot then took ‘evasive action.’
The agency hasn’t said how close the aircraft were.
“Safety is JetBlue’s first priority and our crews are trained to react to situations like this,” the airline said.
This is the latest of several recent close calls being investigated.

That near miss by Jet Blue was inexcusable by the Lear. Good on the JB Pilot.
