Farelogix and PASS Consulting partner to offer an integrated GDS like tool for travel agencies, providing major distribution cost savings for travel suppliers.

Farelogix Inc., a provider of independent faring and multi-source distribution technology to the travel industry, and PASS Consulting, a 650 staff travel technology vendor, announced today that they plan to market and distribute the PASS Virtual Travel Organizer (VTO) travel agency point of sale application (POS) as a preferred POS integrated with the Farelogix FLXT Platform.

The partnership is proposed to provide travel suppliers full control to manage content from all sources a – GDS sources, direct supplier connections, web connections, and a variety of private sourced databases.

Farelogix plans to charge suppliers $1 to $1.50 per trip booked, versus $3 for G2.  Major GDS charge an average of $12 per trip, which include travel agency incentives.

“VTO is a perfect match for Farelogix,” said Jim Davidson, CEO of Farelogix and former head of Amadeus North America. “There is a compelling need in the industry for a multi-source, independent agency point of sale application…VTO enhances the presentation of this content while providing the most robust GDS independent point of sale application available.”

Target market for the new product are corporate travel agencies who currently do not have a reservation system which is capable to integrate content from numerous sources.

A self-booking tool is also available ensuring easy interaction between traveler and agent.
