Middle East carriers are expected to be centre stage with airlines such as Etihad due to be making major announcements.

The giant Airbus A380 will be among the main attractions at as the show marks its 60th anniversary with more than 1,500 exhibitors.

Air India is displaying its latest long range Boeing 777-300ER with a new livery, interior and passenger amenities.

The aircraft flew in to the Hampshire airfield on Saturday in advance of today’s show opening.
