FCm signs partner in Korea
FCm Travel Solutions has established a partnership agreement with Korea’s largest travel management company, Sejoong Tour Co Ltd.
FCm’s global executive general manager, Anthony Grigson, said the new partnership gave FCm an immediate footing as the dominant local corporate travel specialist in the country.
“Sejoong Tour Co offers more than 26 years’ experience in the Korean market and has serviced a number of major clients – including various Samsung businesses – since 1985,” Grigson said.
Established in 1982, Sejoong Tour has a 20% share of the Korean business travel market, and transacts approximately 80% of its business in the corporate sector.
Between 2004 and 2006, its corporate travel increased by almost 30%.
The company, which has rebranded as FCm Korea, has three business travel centres in the main commercial hubs of Korea – Seoul (headquarters), Kangnam and Busan City.
It employs approximately 570 people, including more than 100 corporate travel specialists.
Sejoong Tour chief executive, Jae Chan Lee said it was important for the business to be part of a global travel management network.
“With our dominance in the Korean market, it was a natural progression for us to broaden our horizons and focus more regionally on new business opportunities,” Lee said.
“Being part of the FCm network will enable us to participate in more regional account bids and service FCm’s existing Asian clients who have travel management needs in Korea.
“We chose FCm over other TMCs due to their business model and service approach in Korea,” Lee said.
