Federal Minister says “Bloody” campaign a failure in Japan and other key markets
This morning at the ATEC Symposium 2008 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Federal Tourism Minister Martin Ferguson revealed that he beleived that Tourism Australia’s “Where the Bloody Hell Are You?” campaign, described by the Minister in error as “Where the Bloody Hell You Are”, a failure in Japan and other key tourism markets for Australia.
He also said that Tourism Australia must get its marketing right in future and that he would not be running Tourism Australia on a day to day basis, suggesting that other Ministers have been and would give them freedom.
He qualified that statement though by saying, “It is Tourism Australia’s responsibility and job to get it rightâ€.
