Finding hidden Mickeys another attraction at Disney
Visitors to Walt Disney World see Mickey Mouse everywhere — on signs, tickets and guide maps. But then there’s the Mickey’s they may miss.
Mickey is hidden throughout the park — but you have to look for them because what started out as an insider joke among the park’s designers has become commonplace.
As word spread, insiders began to find Mickeys at the perennially popular Pirates of the Caribbean. One Mickey there is in the shadow of the cat that’s turning its nose up at a drink being offered by a pirate. In Fantasyland, there’s a hidden Mickey in the clouds over Peter Pan‘s Flight.
The finding of hidden Mickey’s has become a popular sport among both adults and children.
If you don’t want to bother to look, you can find them listed at a Mickey spotting site, www.hiddenmickeys.org.
