Fire breaks out at Center Parcs, Suffolk
More than 100 firefighters are tackling a fire at the Center Parcs holiday resort in Elveden, Suffolk.
The fire began at about 10.30 on Friday in a catering block and has since spread to a restaurant and the main plaza.
There have been no reports of any serious injuries to guests or workers at the resort. About 3,500 holidaymakers and 400 staff were forced to leave the complex.
A spokeswoman for Center Parcs has confirmed that guests are leaving the site and future guests are being contacted and told to postpone their holidays.
Center Parcs are urging people who have holidays booked not to contact the company for fear of jamming the phone lines, but to wait until they are called.
