First dedicated spa travel booking site
Spa Finder Inc. says it has launched the Web’s first dedicated spa travel booking site.
It provides a “much needed online travel solution for the $48 billion global spa industry,” the company says.
The site is MySpaVacations.com.
“The first wave of online travel was strictly about price, but the new wave – of which MySpaVacations.com is a part – is all about helping travelers plan their perfect vacations,” said MySpaVacation.com’s Director of Online Travel, Dan Chandre.
Mr Chandre said that MySpaVacations.com spa property inventory can also be accessed by major travel portals looking to tap into the booming spa travel niche – which isn’t so “niche” anymore.
Hs said 54% of travelers recently surveyed by the Travel Industry Association (TIA) said they’re interested in going to a spa or a place where they can relax and rejuvenate. And YBP&R, a leading provider of travel & leisure market intelligence, included a growing interest in spa travel as one of its top-10 trends to watch in 2007.
The live spa property inventory at MySpaVacations.com comprises a range of spa destinations – from traditional destination spas, to luxury hotels and resorts that feature spa amenities.
During their searches, consumers have access to in-depth property overviews, including photos, pricing, features, amenities and spa information as well as general spa-going tips and information.
