First ever flying-car airport opens
The first ever flying-car airport has opened near Coventry but there will be no commercial eVTOL flights for some time. Urban-Air Port opened Air-One last week, which is in demonstration mode only.
It will demonstrate various services for the future, such as aircraft command and control, eVTOL charging, unmanned cargo drone services and demo passenger flights.
The pop-up ‘vertiport’ will serve: passenger air taxis, autonomous drone delivery services, disaster management and some military operations.
