First MD of Wizz Air Malta appointed
Wizz Airhas appointed Diarmuid O Conghaile as the Managing Director of its new Wizz Air Malta subsidiary launching later this year.
Ó Conghaile will take up the appointment in Valetta from 1 November 2022, reporting to Michael Delehant Group Chief Operating Officer.
Ó Conghaile brings over a decade’s experience in the aviation industry, having held senior leadership roles at Ryanair, Dublin Airport, and the Irish Aviation Authority.
Most recently, he worked as the Aviation Regulator for the Irish Aviation Authority.
József Váradi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air, said: “We are delighted to welcome Diarmuid in this newly created officer role. His role as Managing Director of Wizz Air Malta will be instrumental for delivering our next phase of growth in the coming years.”
