First post-Covid Hong Kong cruise ship arrives
The first international Hong Kong cruise was welcomed at the Ocean Terminal.
Silversea Cruises’ Silver Spirit docked at the terminal.
Apart from a series of ‘cruises to nowhere’ it was the first cruise ship since the pandemic began.
Silver Spirit is carrying more than 300 passengers.
It was a key milestone in Hong Kong’s tourism recovery, says culture secretary Kevin Yeung Yun-hung.
“We will work hard with the Tourism Board to do a lot of promotional work to attract more tourists,” he said.
