Five killed in Australia plane crash
Five passengers and a pilot died after a charter plane crashed into a Melbourne shopping centre in Australia this morning.
The light aircraft appeared to have suffered an engine failure, said the BBC.
It crashed shortly after taking off from Essendon Airport, killing the four US citizens onboard and the Australian pilot.
No-one was killed or injured on the ground.
Victoria’s Premier Daniel Andrews described it as the worst civilian air accident in the state in 30 years.
The aircraft was heading for Tasmania’s King Island.
