Five red Carnation hotels rank among best
Readers of Cond é Nast Traveler named five Red Carnation Hotel Collection properties as the ”Best in the World” in the magazine’s 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards.
They included The Milestone Hotel, 41, Egerton House Hotel and The Rubens at the Palace named among the top 40 in the British Isles. The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in South Africa was also ranked 4th with scores in the high 90s for rooms, service, as well as a perfect “100” for activities.
The hotels feature such amenities as 24-hour butler service and afternoon tea. Many also offer club-like intimacy. Many are located near major visitor attractions.
The 41 is known for its having the latest in in-room technology and a full concierge service called “plunder the pantry” where guests can get virtually anything they wish.
One of the claims to fame of The Rubens at the Palace is that it is located directly opposite Buckingham Palace.
The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa is a five-star hotel near the City Centre and waterfront. Rooms include 70 facing either the sea or mountains.
The Red Carnation Hotel Collection is a collection of five and four star family-run boutique hotels in London, Dorset, Guernsey, Geneva and South Africa.
“Each property has its own individual character and unique location that reflects the local environment, culture and cuisine,” says Red Carnation.
