Flexibletrips adds EasySell option
Flexibletrips is introducing Comtec’s search and booking engine EasySell this month to enhance its dynamic packaging capabilities.
The Thomas Cook-based brand claims to be the only dedicated dynamic packaging tool available to agents from any of the top four operators.
More independent agents will be able to access Flexibletrips via EasySell to compete more effectively in the marketplace by offering greater flexibility to their customers, according to the company.
Flexibletrips, managed by specialist leisure and entertainment business UP Trips, claims to have stolen a march on rivals and will be “firmly established in agents’ minds” before any of its main competitors have caught up.
UP Trips managing director Andy Tidy believes the market for dynamic packaging represents at least 30% of current holiday sales.
He said: “The launch of Flexibletrips was the result of four years of dedicated development of the technology that drives the system which is the key to the solution.
“We are clearly a considerable way ahead of the field so far as the major operators are concerned,” he claimed. “As First Choice quite rightly say agents need these tools to compete with the dotcom market and provide customers with the flexibility and choice they want but it will be another 12 months before their system will be available to them.
“Meantime we are already servicing agents’ needs and Flexibletrips will have been ‘live’ for two years by the time their product comes to the market and with the introduction of Comtec’s search and book engine EasySell later this month we are continuing to be at the forefront of driving future new developments.
“We have already seen the growth of Flexibletrips to offer more than simply city breaks and we are now providing access to traditional beach holidays, worldwide destinations and ski breaks.
“Providing smaller agents access to Flexibletrips through EasySell should allow independent agencies the ability to compete more effectively on the high street, make the booking process easier and give agents the confidence of knowing that all the component elements are bonded as a package,” he added.
