Flight attendants injured during turbulent flight
Four American Airlines flight attendants were taken to hospital for treatment after a turbulent flight, the airline said.
The Tampa to Charlotte flight experienced ‘unexpected turbulence’ an American Airlines spokesperson said.
Four of the six flight attendant crew working the flight were transported to hospital, although there were no details about any injuries.
There were no reports of injuries among the 154 passengers.
The plane was able to land in Charlotte without incident.
“We thank our crew members for their professionalism and our customers for their understanding,” American said.
Turbulent incidents are seemingly becoming more frequent.
There have been some serious incidents in recent months including one where a passenger died on a Singapore Airlines flight.
This incident caused several serious injuries and one elderly man passed away of a heart attack.
