Flight returns to airport after mid-flight terror

A flight from Washington DC to Denver with 39 people onboard returned to Dulles International Airport after a passenger allegedly tried to storm the cockpit.

An airline spokesman confirmed to news outlets in the US that Flight 1074 returned after take-off last night.

He said a passenger ‘failed to comply with crew instructions’, however he did not confirm reports that a man had tried to break in the cockpit shouting “jihad, jihad”.

According to some news reports, the man was subdued by other passengers on board the Boeing 737.

Local law enforcement met the aircraft at the gate, where the passenger was arrested. A Youtube video appears to show a distraught man, restrained by the neck, crying “I’m sorry”.
