Flights delayed as heavy snow hits the UK
Flights were disrupted this morning at Leeds Bradford Airport, and officials at Manchester Airport are warning of minor delays due to heavy snow.
Leeds Bradford was closed first thing as ploughs were used to clear the runway, but the airport has now re-opened.
Leeds and Manchester are both advising passengers to check with their airline about the status of their flight.
The Met Office has issued severe weather warnings for most of Scotland, the North of England, the Midlands, Northern Ireland, Wales and South West England.
It also issued a yellow warning of ice, overnight through to Saturday morning, for London, South East England, South West England and the east.
