Fly-by-wireless gets a lift
CANEUS International, a non-profit organization that promotes development of micro-nano-technology for the aerospace and defense industries has announced partnership with a consortium of stakeholders including Airbus, Boeing, Bombadier, GE, Rolls-Royce, NASA, and the US Department of Defense to develop less-wire and fly-by-wireless (FBW) capabilities.
CANEUS says the success of the venture will contribute to improved fuel economy, reduced emissions and potential failure points, and improved operational performance.
The consortium will meet on August 27-28, 2012 in Ottawa to formulate the international public-private partnership.
