FlyArystan passenger traffic reached 1.5 million in 2020
Kazakhstan low cost carrier FlyArystan announced its traffic figures for 2020, carrying 1.5 million passengers.
Thae airline celebrated its first anniversary at the height of the global pandemic and has since handled 2.2 million passengers in total since launching in May 2019.
The 1.5 million passenger milestone was achieved during 10 months of operation due to two months’ flight suspension caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is targeting three million passengers during 2021.
During 2020, it increased its fleet size from four Airbus A320s in January to seven aircraft by December.
FlyArystan is taking delivery of more aircraft in the first half of 2021 to grow the fleet to 10 Airbus A320s.
The airline is continuing its impressive growth in 2021 by adding more than 14 new routes, including from Shymkent and Aktau.
