FlyArystan posts first six-month operational results
Kazakhstan’s FlyArystan has announced a positive first six months of operation as a low cost carrier.
The low fare subsidiary of Air Astana announced a 94% load factor with more than 455,000 passengers carried so far.
The LCC started operations on May 1, 2019 and has since made 2,500 flights, with 93% on-time punctuality.
Kazakhstan’s first dedicated low cost carrier now operates 10 routes with an additional three routes launching by the year-end.
One of these is its maiden international flight to Moscow Zhukovsky which launches next month.
The airline is touting ‘the FlyArystan effect’ for spurring air travel growth in the market.
"Our very low fares have been well received by the Kazakhstan market, and based on 33% domestic capacity growth in October 2019, Kazakhstan is now already one of the fastest growing domestic aviation markets in the world," said FlyArystan head Tim Jordan.
