Flybe confirms extra capacity on Heathrow to Newquay route
Flybe will increase flights from Heathrow to Newquay to four times daily from next spring.
The service will operate from March 31 under the new Public Service Obligation agreement.
Chief commercial officer Roy Kinnear said the decision confirms that ‘Flybe is a vital part of the UK’s transport infrastructure’.
"We not only specialise in connecting regional communities throughout the UK. We also offer the added opportunity for business and leisure travellers to conveniently travel onwards to the rest of the world using the many global services offered by other carriers operating to and from large international airport hubs, such as Heathrow."
The new flights will be available for booking later this month.
Earlier this month Flybe announced it is seeking a buyer, just weeks after issuing a profit warning.
The Exeter-based carrier said it was in talks with a number of ‘strategic operators’ about a potential sale.
