Flybe extends online check-in
Flybe has extended its online check-in to passengers booking through travel agents, B2B websites and its call centre.
The airline introduced the ‘Q-Buster’ online check-in facility in April to all passengers booking online and travelling with hand or hold luggage.
But until now business travellers booking through travel management companies had to follow the traditional check-in procedure.
Passengers with hand baggage can print off their boarding card at home and go straight to security when they arrive at the airport, eliminating check-in and airport queues. Passengers travelling with hold baggage can leave their luggage at a dedicated fast bag drop area before going to the security gate.
Chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: “Flybe’s latest innovation means that we are offering all passengers including our business travellers an enhanced service as they can now book through their preferred channel and still check-in online, providing all consumers with an experience that minimises the time booking and time spent at the airport, removing the need to queue and cutting down on hassle.”
