Flybe launches check-in at time of booking
Flybe will give passengers the chance to check-in at the point of booking online from next week.
It claims it will be the first UK airline to offer the option.
The initiative is being introduced initially at nine of Flybe’s largest airports – Belfast City, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Jersey, London Gatwick, Manchester and Southampton.
The service launches on December 11 and the airline claims plans are "well advanced" for further roll-out across the wider network in the New Year.
It means that 36 and 15 hours prior to departure, an electronic boarding pass will automatically be sent direct to a passenger’s smart phone or e-mail.
At another 17 airports, passengers can continue to use automated e-mail check-in only.
