Flybe puts slimmed down winter schedule on sale
Regional airline Flybe has put part of its reduced winter schedule on sale, offering flights on 97 routes compared to 125 last year.
The carrier, which was recently bought by a Virgin-led consortium, said it was still finalising its winter schedule from Cardiff.
Flights from other airports are available for booking now for travel between the end of October 2019 and the end of March 2020.
The airline said it was hoping to put flights from Cardiff on sale soon. It announced last month that it was ceasing jet operations from both Cardiff and Doncaster, and that it would close both bases. However, Flybe said at the time that it would continue to operate from both airports with aircraft and crew from other bases.
Flybe began scaling back operations in April after being bought by a consortium led by Virgin Atlantic.
Next winter, the airline will have up to 162 flights a week between London Heathrow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Newquay.
It will also have up to 180 flights a week from London City to Amsterdam, Belfast City, Dusseldorf, Edinburgh and Exeter.
It will have nine ski routes from regional airports to Chambery and Geneva, starting in mid December. Last year, it operated 14 ski routes.
Flybe’s popular Christmas and New Years flights between Birmingham and Newquay and from Birmingham and Manchester to Nantes, plus Southampton to Limoges will also return, and it will offer daily flights from Doncaster Sheffield to Amsterdam.
In total, it will offer four routes from Aberdeen, 13 from Belfast City, 23 from Birmingham, nine from Edinbugh, 13 from Exeter, six from Glasgow, 21 from Manchester and 15 from Southampton.
