Flybe unveils changes to summer schedule

Saturday, 21 Feb, 2019 0

Flybe is adding another daily return flight from Edinburgh to London Heathrow service for summer 2019.

It means it will operate six flights a day on the route from April 22.

The new schedule offers an extra early morning departure from Heathrow and an increased choice of evening flights from Edinburgh.

The new early morning flight departs London Heathrow at 0640, arriving Edinburgh at 0825; with the evening flight returning to Heathrow from Edinburgh at 1735 and arriving at 1915.

Flybe has also announced it will be operating a direct daily flight between Guernsey and Heathrow airport from March 31.

The route will be operated by 78-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

Meanwhile Dublin flights are being increased from Cardiff Airport.

The service will go to three in each direction on Fridays with effect from April 5, meaning up to 15 flights a week to the Irish capital.

Loss-making Flybe put itself up for sale in November with two potential bidders coming forward

Yesterday its Board told shareholders that the only viable option was the first bid, from consortium Connect Airways, consisting of Virgin Atlantic and the Stobart Group.
