Flydubai is redefining value travel. Starting November 2025, the Dubai-based airline will include complimentary meals and inflight entertainment across all Economy Class fares, marking a major upgrade to its customer experience.

The move reflects flydubai’s continued investment in its product and services as it evolves from a low-cost model into a full-service carrier. “Redefining the Economy Class offering across all flights represents a significant evolution in our business model,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer. “By listening to customer feedback and responding to changing market dynamics, we’re delivering more value and convenience while supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming a global hub for trade and tourism.

The airline has steadily enhanced the travel experience across every touchpoint. Recent milestones include the opening of a dedicated Business Class check-in area and a new Business Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 2. Both offer seamless service and exceptional comfort before departure.

Chief Commercial Officer Hamad Obaidalla said the timing of the upgrade aligns with the airline’s growth plans. “Our agile business model has allowed us to adapt and innovate quickly. Including meals and inflight entertainment in every Economy Class fare adds tangible value while keeping us competitive as we expand our fleet and network,” he said.

Entertainment and dining re-imagined

The carrier’s inflight entertainment system features more than 1,000 movies in multiple languages, from Hollywood blockbusters to regional favorites, along with hit TV shows. Passengers can also enjoy interactive games, digital magazines, podcasts, and music playlists, or explore destination guides and real-time flight updates.

On the culinary side, travelers can expect thoughtfully crafted meals and snacks inspired by the airline’s global destinations. Menus feature regional flavors from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, India, Russia, and Southeast Asia, with variations tailored to route and flight duration.

Fleet expansion and future growth

Flydubai’s fleet has grown to 95 Boeing 737 aircraft, with three more expected by the end of 2025. The carrier continues to enhance its onboard product through a retrofit program introducing lie-flat Business Class seats and redesigned Economy seats across its Boeing 737-800s.

Looking ahead, the arrival of Boeing 787 Dreamliners from 2027 will mark a new chapter. It will expanding the airline’s long-haul capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to comfort, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
