Flying business
Passengers might have to brace for this news: low-cost carrier ATA is adding a new business class initiative. Airline officials said the system will be available by the fourth quarter of 2004. Officials added that in addition to their own research, they hired Sabre Airline Solutions to help determine their new business plan. New leather business class seats will have more comfort and legroom. Business travelers will also have priority boarding. ATA said its cap on pricing would be $399 one way for travel anywhere in the domestic US. Thirty-one-years old, ATA is the nation’s 10th largest passengers carrier based on revenue passengers miles. The airline operates scheduled service from Chicago-Midway, Hawaii, Indianapolis, New York and San Francisco to over 40 business and vacation destinations.–David Wilkening–
