Fog causes flight disruption
Freezing fog and ice have caused flight disruption at some airports this morning, with London Heathrow and London City particularly badly affected.
About 60 flights have been cancelled at Heathrow and further delays are expected. At the Docklands airport, about six flights were cancelled early this morning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning of fog across much of central, eastern and north-western areas of England as well as London and has advised of the risk of travel disruption until 11:00hrs.
Passengers are advised to contact their airlines before travelling to the airport.
