Former Priceline exec named Cendant US boss

Mitch Truwit has been named CEO and president, Americas Consumer Travel, for Cendant Travel Distribution Services (TDS).

TDS is a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation.

Mr Truwit was formerly executive vice president and COO at Priceline.com, where he was responsible for supplier relations and personal finance businesses, as well as international development and other areas.

His new responsibilities include overseeing all TDS’s consumer travel businesses in the Americas, including Orbitz, CheapTickets, Lodging.com and the Neat Group.
