Former Silverjet CFO joins Villas for Travel
Villas for Travel has made two appointments to help its expansion and acquisition of partners, properties and destinations.
The online villa specialist has recruited John Bavister as non-executive chairman.
Bavister ran his own consulting business before joining Silverjet as CFO in April 2005 to help raise funding for the airline.
A chartered accountant with an IOD Diploma in Company Direction, he has worked in the travel industry since 1989 and has also held positions at Thomas Cook, Travelex and MyTravel.
The company has also appointed Nikki Stimson as director of distribution and sales, responsible for sourcing new partners.
She previously worked for Small Luxury Hotels of the World as VP global marketing, as well as Cendant Corporation and Galileo.
Meanwhile, Villas for Travel has signed a joint marketing partnership with Cannons Health Clubs, giving Cannons members access to special discount villa offers.
