Popular vacation spot Fort Myers Beach was ravaged by Hurricane Ian and it could be a ‘couple of years ’before it recovers, residents say.
With little natural protection Fort Myers and nearby barrier islands took the brunt.
The surge demolished the lower floors of buildings and carried away cars.
Boats broke from their moorings crashing against road guardrails and wooden piers were destroyed
