Foster Travel sold to Harvey World
Harvey World Travel has strengthened its presence in East Anglia by acquiring Foster Travel.
The Diss-based agency has been running for 25 years under managing director Julian Foster, who has decided to retire.
Foster was formerly managing director of independent agency consortium Worldchoice.
The deal follows HWT taking over leading regional independents Galaxy Travel in East Anglia and Lets Go Travel in the South West. It brings the network up to 85 branches, with six more due to open soon, according to a spokeswoman.
Foster Travel is being rebranded as Harvey World Travel.
Former Galaxy managing director Geoff Blagg, now HWT’s southern region head of sales, said: “Foster Travel is now being rebranded and I am sure that the staff will see this change as a very exciting, motivating time.
“This new purchase demonstrates our continued commitment to the high street and getting the brand across to all areas.”
